- odgoditi štetni dio svjetlosnog spektra;
- spriječiti oksidaciju sočiva;
- održava normalne ćelije tkiva i održava oštrinu vida.
Što je veća gustoća luteina u ljusci oka, manji je rizik od njegovih degenerativnih promjena. Ako nema dovoljno karotenoida, pigmentni sloj retine se iscrpljuje, što na kraju dovodi do oštećenja vida. Ovo je jedan od uobičajenih razloga zašto ljudi stariji od 60 godina imaju smanjenu vidnu oštrinu.

Kompozicija
mikrokristalna celuloza (nosač), askorbinska kiselina; komponente filmskog premaza (aditivi za hranu): hidroksipropil metilceluloza (zgušnjivač), kalcijum karbonat (boja), polietilen glikol (sredstvo za glaziranje), karmin i željezni oksid (boje); cink oksid; kalcijum stearat i amorfni silicijum dioksid (sredstva protiv zgrušavanja); rutin, lutein (ekstrakt nevena), ekstrakt borovnice, piridoksin hidrohlorid, tiamin hidrohlorid, riboflavin.
Odrasli i djeca starija od 14 godina – 2 tablete 2 puta dnevno uz obrok, djeca od 7 do 14 godina – 3 tablete dnevno, djeca od 3 do 7 godina – 1 tableta 2 puta dnevno. Trajanje prijema – 2-4 mjeseca. Dozvoljena je pauza od deset dana.
