Resveratrol je polifenol koji se može pronaći u koži grožđa (Vitis vinifera), japanskom dvorniku (Polygonum cuspidatum), ekstraktu sjemenke grožđa (Vitis vinifera) i ekstraktu crnog vina. Resveratrol se svrstava u jake antioksidanse. Resveratrol zbog svoje djelotvornosti predstavlja jedinstveno prirodno sredstvo za poboljšanje rada srčano-žilnog sustava.
Ima niz pozitivnih učinaka na zdravlje kao što je antioksidativno djelovanje i sposobnost neutraliziranja slobodnih radikala. Ujedno štiti i srčani mišić od iznenadnog srčanog udara, sprječava srčanu fibrozu, ima sposobnost da razrjeđuje krv na način da uspješno drži krvne stanice razdvojenima ograničavajući formiranje krvnih ugrušaka te tako sprječava nastanak moždanog i srčanog udara.
